We are thus in an excellent location for the various festivals that take place in and around Rochester and Chatham throughout the year (Sweeps, Dickens, the summer concerts at Rochester and Leeds Castles, Navy Days etc.). You can be at Upnor Castle within about 15 minutes and Leeds Castle (considered by many to be the loveliest castle in the world – see www.leeds-castle.com) in about 25 minutes. The comfortable rooms most have at least a toilet, washbasin, television free wifi and an Ethernet connection to allow access to the Internet via a shared broadband connection (there is also a PC available in a public area allowing internet access). We are within three or four minutes walk of a number of local pubs (one of which is believed to be the oldest pub in Kent!) many of which have real ale on a hand-pump.
