5 Minutes walk from the City Centre, Large Secure Car Park, All rooms re-furbished and re-decorated, why not give us a try and experience the new comfort along with the old charm! As a way of saying thank you price reductions throughout March and June. Get the most out of your visit to Oxford by staying at the Old Black Horse. The Old Black Horse is a 17th Century Coaching Inn located five minutes from the centre of Oxford at the end of the High Street. The historic buildings of the city and university are nearby and Magdalen College with its beautiful deer park is just across the river. We offer superior bed and breakfast accommodation with a range of single, twin, double and family rooms. All our bedrooms are en-suite and are equipped with Internet access points (both wired and wireless), remote control television, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. If you are contemplating a longer stay we recommend staying in one of our Home-from-home Suites that provide all the facilities of home while you’re away from home. The Old Black Horse is centrally located, easy to find and easy to reach by public or private transport. London and Airport Coaches stop outside and we have a large secure car park. Back in the 17th Century, many of our guests required stables and accommodation for their servants. To satisfy their needs, behind the Inn, a large yard was constructed with suitable outbuildings. Today, with far fewer travellers arriving by carriage or on horseback we have converted these outbuildings into delightful, self-contained suites.

Set on the pedestrianised part of historic Broad Street, The Buttery is one of Oxford’s most central accommodation providers. All 16 rooms are en-suite, clean and comfortable, some with original fireplaces. The Buttery provides room only accommodation in a choice of double, twin, single or family rooms. Deluxe rooms have views overlooking Broad Street and Balliol College and standard rooms look out onto Ship Street buildings. All rooms offer free WiFi access, flat screen televisions, direct dial telephones, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers and electric shaver points. Our reception desk is located on the first floor and accessed up a flight of stairs. All rooms are on the first, second and third floors of our guest accommodation and due to the historic nature of this listed building we do not have an elevator and our disabled facilities are limited. Links to public transport are easy, with the train station fifteen minutes walk or a short taxi ride away and the coach station even closer, five minutes walk at the most. Park and Ride bus stops are also only a few minutes walk from the door. Access is gained through the red door between Oxford Campus Stores and The Oxford Campus Store, after 6pm the door is shut and access is gained via an intercom on the left hand side of the front door, our night porter ensures access is available throughout the night. Public parking facilities with payment meters are available nearby, however parking in the centre of Oxford is limited and expensive, we therefore recommend making use of the five Park and Ride sites that surround the city. NB during September 2017 thru January 2018 the local council are carrying out refurbishment to the listed buildings in Broad St. This will result in scaffolding against our building at sometime during that period which may restrict views.

If the idea of staying in an historic hotel in the centre of Oxford appeals,Tower House is the obvious choice. Two of our contemporary deluxe rooms, Bastion & Foundry, are quietly tucked away in one of the 21 bastions within the 13th century 2 mile long city wall. Spacious rooms with kingsize beds, both have lovely modern bathrooms - the Foundry on the ground floor has a large walk in shower & the Bastion, up a small narrow staircase has a generous rolltop bath with a handheld shower. If your taste is for something more modern, we have 6 stylish rooms in our 3 storey, 16th century town house on Ship Street. We are rather fond of our narrow stairs, wobbly walls and slightly uneven floors but we appreciate for the taller of our guests, 16th century architecture may be a challenge as our ceilings are pretty low. Our bedrooms are tasteful and modern and you can choose from 3 double ensuite rooms or small doubles with a shared WC & shower room. The Jade and Red rooms, both with kingsize beds, face onto Ship Street and although they are usually quiet, occasional reports of enthusiastic late night revelry have reached us so if you prefer something quieter, the Yellow room with a standard double bed may appeal. All three have contemporary bathrooms with shower, washbasin and WC. For guests seeking a friendlier price range, we have three lovely small double rooms - Pink, Blue and Little Blue. All three have a washbasin in the room and standard double beds and are decorated in a combination of painted and period furniture. All our rooms have flat screen TVs, tea and coffee etc and free wifi. Out of hours check in is managed by Turl Street Kitchen where you will be served a delicious breakfast - TSK has a well deserved reputation for locally sourced, seasonal menus & the atmosphere is so chilled.
